Frequently asked questions

Since this position is seasonal from November to January, expect variable hours focused around peak golf tournaments and events. Flexibility during this period is crucial, as shifts may include early mornings, weekends, and high-volume service times typical of major sporting events in Belleair, FL.

Working at a golf tournament demands quick service under pressure, thorough knowledge of alcohol laws, and polished customer interaction. Experience handling large crowds and efficiently managing bar stations ensures smooth events, while familiarity with premium beverage service enhances guest satisfaction.

Seasonal catering bartending can open doors to year-round hospitality roles in live event venues managed by SPECTRA or Oak View Group. Demonstrating professionalism and reliability may lead to repeat seasonal hiring or advancement into supervisory or event coordination positions within the premium hospitality sector.

Belleair’s proximity to Tampa Bay and its active event calendar generate steady demand for skilled part-time bartenders. However, competition can be strong during peak seasons, so certifications like TABC and prior bartending experience are valuable assets to stand out locally.

Seasonal catering bartenders in Belleair generally earn around $16 to $20 per hour, often supplemented with tips. This role offers $18 hourly plus gratuities, which aligns well with regional standards for event-focused hospitality jobs.

Possessing the TABC certification or equivalent is essential for legal alcohol service in Florida and highly favored by employers managing large events. It ensures compliance with state laws and reflects professionalism, enhancing your chances of securing high-profile catering bartender positions.

Bartending for SPECTRA at The Annika Driven LPGA involves high-energy, fast-paced environments tied to premium live sporting events. Unlike typical bar jobs, this role requires coordination with event staff, strict adherence to beverage regulations, and delivering exceptional guest experiences under tight timelines.

Bartenders at SPECTRA help elevate the event ambiance by providing efficient, friendly service and maintaining a clean, well-stocked bar. Their role is crucial in creating a seamless hospitality flow, directly affecting guest enjoyment and the event’s professional reputation.

High-volume events require bartenders to balance speed with accuracy during cash and POS handling. Mistakes can disrupt workflow or guest trust, so familiarity with transaction systems and maintaining focus amidst busy service periods are vital skills.

Expect to be on your feet for extended periods and occasionally lift between 25-50 lbs when setting up or breaking down stations. Physical stamina and endurance are important to sustain energy during fast-paced shifts typical of large-scale sporting events.
