Job Summary and Responsibilities
The technologist will provide excellent service to the patients of the Ultrasound Department, the physicians, fellow employees and hospital staff.
Displays a thorough knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and positioning as it relates to performance of procedures.
Displays competency in operating equipment and teleradiology transmissions.
Always produces high quality sonograms. Exams are performed in a timely fashion, minimizing patient wait times.
Practices good sterile technique when required and utilizes universal precautions and other infection control practices as appropriate.
Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work area and assures that rooms are stocked with necessary supplies. Orders and maintains supplies at an acceptable level.
Initiates service calls /repairs on all equipment as needed in the absence of a supervisor
Job Requirements
Requirements:
High School Diploma
Five (5) years Ultrasound Technologist experience.
Basic knowledge of department and hospital information systems. Basic computer skills including MS Office Suites. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
ARDMS registered in at least Abdomen or OB/GYN subspeciality.
