Position Summary
The Backstage Catering Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Catering Manager in fulfilling all food and beverage needs outlined in tour group riders. This role ensures meals, snacks, beverages, and special requests are set up, supervised, and cleaned up efficiently. The supervisor will also oversee the backstage catering area, ensuring it is properly prepared and stocked to meet touring artists’ and crews’ expectations.
This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00-$21.00

About the Venue
The Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center anchors lively downtown Mobile, Alabama, a city that offers world-class accommodations, retail shops, restaurants, museums, parks and art galleries. The 317,000-square-foot facility features 16 meeting rooms, two ballrooms and two exhibit halls that total 100,000 square feet.

Responsibilities
- Approaches all encounters with guests and colleagues in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Maintains constant communication with guests and on-site contact to ensure all expectations are met or exceeded
- Remains alert of complaints and or/unsatisfied guests and responds appropriately to ensure guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with the Catering Department to review and fulfill all tour rider requirements for food and beverage.
- Assist with meal service, including setup, supervision, and cleanup, when requested by touring groups.
- Set up and maintain backstage areas with snacks, beverages, waters, and other requested items.
- Work with the Catering Department to place catering and supply orders, including making in-person purchases for items that cannot be ordered online.
- Ensure all rider requirements and catering needs are delivered accurately and on time in accordance with tour schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards in backstage catering areas.
- Act as a point of contact for catering-related needs during events, providing excellent service to touring personnel.
- Assist with inventory management of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Support the Catering Department with additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, food service, or hospitality preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple requests.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
- Professional and customer-service oriented, with strong communication skills.
- Ability to lift and transport catering supplies, beverages, and food items as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for pickup of items not available online).
- Able to lift 25 LBS
