We value our incredible Certified Nursing Assistants and want to ensure they practice at the top of their license to better optimize their skills and experience. The Certified Nursing Assistants provides direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- Six months previous CNA experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Basic computer skills
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- High School diploma or GED required
- Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program required
- State registered CNA license required
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training preferred. CPI training required if sitting with M-1 holds
Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

At Holy Cross Hospital – Davis, the Behavioral Health Department is a compassionate, approachable team that loves to laugh and is very observant, team oriented, reliable and advocates for patient and staff safety. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:8 and the patient population includes the mentally ill/mental crisis stabilization from age 18 and upwards, including homelessness, drug addictions, and many more. You get to really know your patients over the years and their families and become their advocates when their crisis doesn't allow them to advocate for themselves. This team cares as much about each other as the patients and selfcare and mental health is a priority for all. The staff is supported in growth opportunities and continuing education. An ideal candidate is willing to learn through experience and education, accept critical feedback and is mindful of cultural differences. We are looking someone who is accountable, team oriented and can communicate respectfully to social workers, nurses, CNAs, and our housekeepers with the same demeanor.
