Seven Hills Community Services, an Affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation

Under supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, the Clinician/Therapist will Deliver a continuum of comprehensive mental health services and supports to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities within their natural environments, including 24-hour residential settings (at varying levels of intensity as per Department of Developmental Services (DDS) regulations and contractual parameters). The position requires proficiency with the delivery of therapeutic services and supports to individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities within their natural environments using a community mental health approach. Must be able to effectively collaborate and communicate with multidisciplinary teams, which could include residential direct care, operational, nursing, clinical staff, and community-based providers/agencies. Maintains compliance with Department of Developmental Services (DDS) regulations.

Pay: $80,000/yearSign-on Bonus: $5,000

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical services to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in natural settings, per DDS guidelines
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate behavior support plans focused on reducing challenging behaviors and building replacement skills
  • Conduct functional, psychosocial, and quality-of-life assessments; generate data-driven objectives and reports
  • Train and coach staff and caregivers to ensure accurate and consistent behavior plan implementation
  • Provide on-site oversight of behavior plans through regular visits and technical assistance
  • Participate in Individual Support Plans (ISPs), intake processes, and interdisciplinary team collaboration
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with families, guardians, and service providers
  • Design and deliver staff training and professional development, including Safety-Care and other clinical topics
  • Maintain confidential records and complete all required documentation, reports, and regulatory reviews
  • Uphold professional ethics, agency standards, and compliance with all training and certification requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by clinical leadership

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree, preferably in psychology, behavior analysis, special education, mental health counseling, or a related field.  Requires BCBA or professional licensure (e.g., psychologist, LMHC, LICSW).  Dual credentials and/or professional training and experience in mental health, acquired brain injury, and/or positive behavior support (PBS) preferred.

  • Supervised training and experience delivering comprehensive behavior analytic services and supports to individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities within their natural environments, including conducting functional behavior assessments and designing/implementing/monitoring behavior support plans. 

  • Experience implementing positive behavior support strategies and/or verbal behavior assessment and intervention preferred.

  • Training and experience with clinical supervision, preferably in the delivery of behavior analytic services.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated skills in a variety of observation and data collection techniques; behavior analytic assessment and intervention techniques; proficiency with competency-based training and monitoring.

  • Knowledge of human development, learning, behavior analysis, positive behavior support, collaborative consultation, and abnormal psychology.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.  Ability to adjust to different environments.

  • Valid driver’s license, ability to drive, and means of consistent transportation.

  • Travel to other cities and towns may be required.
