Function/Duties of Position

The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, within the Department of Pediatrics of Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), is seeking an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Pediatrics specializing in the treatment of hematologic malignancies. 

The position will assume clinical care of children, adolescent and young adults with hematologic malignancies and administrative/leadership responsibilities as assigned by the Division Head; participate in fellow training and student/resident educational programs of the Department; serve on committees and councils of OHSU; participate in outreach and public service programs and professional societies with the knowledge and consent of the Chair; conduct collaborative clinical, translational, and/or health systems research at OHSU, and fund these efforts as necessary through grants and contracts.

Required Qualifications

  • An M.D. degree or the foreign equivalent.
  • Oregon medical licensure or eligibility for licensure.
  • Board Certification or eligibility for Board Certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.
  • All education, training and experience may be gained concurrently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • It is preferred that the successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of post-fellowship experience in the care of complex hematologic malignancies.
  • Clinical experience in stem cell transplant and cellular therapy as well is strongly preferred.
