Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Urgent Care Nurse at Dignity Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you’ll be the first touchpoint to the people in our community during health emergencies. The Maricopa Urgent Care at Dignity Health Chandler Regional Medical Center is a dynamic environment where you can pursue a highly challenging and rewarding career. • MUC is one of three (3) Urgent Cares within that system and is located at 20750 N. John Wayne Parkway
• EMR
• Open 365 days a year (10p-8p)
• Board certified/prepared physicians, registrars, radiographic technologists and RN’s
No two days in the Urgent Care nursing are ever the same. You’re a multitasker who can react quickly as you’ll prioritize patients based on their medical necessity while you’re providing emergency triage to others. As part of our UC team, you’ll partner with an experienced clinical team to deliver stabilizing care to our patients.
To thrive as an UC nurse, you should exhibit teamwork, professionalism, critical thinking skills, and a willingness to take on additional projects such as patient experience initiatives. More than anything, you should be energetic and motivated to provide quality care to all of our patients, maintaining their dignity at every step.
Responsibilities:
- Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge or admit patients.
- Deliver stabilizing care to UC patients of all ages as part of the larger UC team, adapting care to changes in patient’s condition as needed.
- Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs. Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patient's condition.
- Engage in other activities that will benefit patient outcomes, such as patient experience initiatives, mentoring, etc.
Job Requirements
Minimum:
- One (1) year RN experience within applicable clinical specialty.
- ADN, Diploma, or foreign equivalent.
- Current AZ State RN License in good standing.
- Current BLS healthcare provider card.
- Current ACLS card must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Preferred:
- Bachelors of Nursing Degree.
