Position Summary

The Dome, a premier 5,000-capacity indoor-outdoor music hall in Virginia Beach’s Atlantic Park, is seeking energetic and experienced Bartenders to provide top-tier service in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. This role is essential in delivering exceptional beverage service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and enhancing the overall guest experience.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $2.13. plus tips.

Responsibilities

• Beverage Service: Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages quickly and accurately while maintaining high presentation standards.
• Guest Experience: Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring excellent service and fostering a lively atmosphere.
• Sales & Upselling: Recommend premium drink selections and specialty cocktails to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Cash Handling & POS System: Process transactions efficiently using the venue’s point-of-sale system while following cash-handling procedures.
• Bar Setup & Maintenance: Stock, clean, and maintain the bar area before, during, and after shifts to ensure a smooth operation.
• Responsible Alcohol Service: Follow all responsible beverage service laws and venue policies, including checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with barbacks, servers, and management to maintain seamless service throughout events.
• Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe and clean working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous bartending experience in a high-volume bar, restaurant, or event venue preferred.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits. Exceptional multitasking, communication, and customer service skills.
• Attributes: Outgoing, energetic, and passionate about creating an unforgettable guest experience.
• Certifications: Must meet state and local alcohol service requirements (e.g., TIPS or similar responsible beverage service certification).
• Availability: Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with The Dome’s event schedule.
