Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Medical,Surgical and Peds Registered Nurse at CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake, you’ll excel in your nursing career by providing care to patients admitted to our unit. The primary functions of a registered nurse in assigning, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of all assigned patients of all ages (neonates/infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics). Manages all assigned personal supplies and equipment and promotes teamwork with all members of the health care team. Most of your patients are funneled in from other units providing you with the opportunity to build on your education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, critical care, OB, pediatrics, surgical services, and emergency.

What you'll do...
- Except to deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift
- Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation
- Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Active North Dakota (ND) Registered Nurse License, compact state RN licensure accepted.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association (AHA).
