Ultrasounds and biopsies can be scary procedures for some patients. Your skill and compassion as a sonographer will help to put patients at ease. Responsibilities
Performs ultrasound imaging and biopsy procedures according to physician's orders, utilizing knowledge and judgment regarding imaging technique and patient treatment.
Qualifications
Education:
Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited (by AMA or ARDMS) school of ultrasound or registry eligible.
Skills:
Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
Licensure
Licensure/Certification:
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Physics.
- If proof of registration in Abdomen or OB/GYN (ARDMS AB or ARDMS OB) is not received within one year of assuming the non-certified Sonographer job, the position will be vacated by the incumbent.
- Current state license in Sonography required for all employees who perform this job in the state of Oregon. Temporary licensure is acceptable.
- BLS/CPR Certification: American Heart Association, Health Care provider level BLS and AED Certification required.
Pay Range
