Overview
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant, sometimes referred to as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) or Physical Therapy Assistant. The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help carry out treatment plans for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. Their responsibilities include guiding patients through prescribed exercises, assisting with mobility and ambulation, monitoring patient progress, and providing support in documenting treatment outcomes. Aimed at improving function, reducing pain, and promoting safe discharge. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Implement Treatment Plans: carry out specific physical therapy interventions designed by the Physical Therapist (PT)
- Assist with Patient Mobility: help patients get in and out of bed, walk, use assistive devices, and perform exercises safely
- Monitor Patient Responses: observe and report patient progress, pain levels, or adverse reactions during therapy sessions to the supervising PT
- Educate Patients: teach patients proper movement techniques, safety precautions, and how to use walkers, crutches, or other mobility aids
- Prepare Equipment: set up and clean therapy areas, and ensure equipment is functioning properly
Qualifications

- A. Degree
- Current state Physical Therapist Assistance license
- Current BCLS (AHA) Certificate upon hire and maintain current

- Healthcare experience preferred
