This role may be located in one of our offices:
- Midtown Manhattan, NY (preferred)
- Greenwich, CT

The offices offer hybrid work schedule with 4 days in the office; and 1 day remote where it makes sense to do so.
If not located in our NYC office, periodic travel to NYC to meet with business unit leadership will be required. You will have day-to-day contact to learn and work with other actuaries working with different business units.

Responsibilities
We’re looking for a motivated P&C Actuary—either newly credentialed or close to finishing their FCAS—who’s ready to take the lead on a wide range of actuarial work and help shape the future of our company.
In this role, you’ll be part of a larger actuarial team, but function as the go-to actuary for a business unit, responsible for:
- Quarterly reserve analyses and presenting results to leadership
- Annual loss ratio forecasts and pricing support for underwriters
- Regular updates and explanations for management (e.g., rate changes, claims trends)
- Supporting teams across underwriting, claims, reinsurance, finance, data/IT, and risk

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication and people skills to get results
- Solid technical background, ideally with Python, R, or similar capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field
- 5–8 years of P&C actuarial experience
- FCAS or near-FCAS (or international equivalent)
- Working knowledge of SQL and Python or R to manipulate and retrieve data
- Executive-level communication skills able to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Independent thinker who can challenge the status quo while maintaining professional and collaborative relationships
- Prior experience with reserving, insurance financial reporting and controls preferred but not necessary
