Position Summary
The position reports directly to the Hockey Program Manager and is responsible for operating the scoreboard and tracking and recording goals, shots, and penalties on a paper or online scoresheet during hockey league games. In addition, scorekeepers are expected to use a supplied tablet to play music at stoppages in play and between games. The scorekeeper will also be required to work alongside our ice resurfacing team by moving the nets for ice cuts following each game. This position will interact with parents, players, guests, coaches, referees, hockey directors and team captains and requires the ability to communicate with a focus on delivering a world class hockey experience.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $20.

Responsibilities
- Use of control board for scoreboard
- Communicate with the on ice officials to start, operate, and record a hockey game
- Maintain a legible, concise, and accurate scoresheet
- Provide accurate stats to league statistician
- Check players in by number and/or name on the scoresheet
- Assist our ice resurfacing team by moving the nets for ice cuts following each game
- Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of area
- Positively interacts with all departments: Referees, Players, Coworkers and guests of the facility
- Appropriately safeguard company property, access, and assets
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Displays self-motivation and ability to work unsupervised
- Willing to serve as the off ice official for hockey games
- General knowledge of hockey
- Demonstrates sound judgment and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication
- Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail
- Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Possess a strong understanding for the importance of job execution
- Ability to use a phone or tablet to play music and enter an online scoresheet
