Responsibilities
- Assist patients with exercises, ambulation, functional activities, and use of assistive devices according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
- Support Physical Therapist in collecting outcome measures and performing complex treatment procedures.
- Educate patients, families, and healthcare workers on assigned procedures and functional activities as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Participate in ongoing program evaluation and contribute to program development efforts.
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation of all care and interventions provided.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient care and clinic operations.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant through an accredited program.
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant license to practice in Michigan.
- Preferred experience in rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological injuries.
- CPR or Basic Life Support certification per state regulations.
- Ability to move, lift, or transfer patients up to 100 pounds safely.
