Description
As an Associate Intern, you will be assigned to work on a project team and assist the project controls and project management team members in the execution of their project work. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Project scheduling, cost tracking, progress monitoring, and project / portfolio reporting for power-related engineering projects
- Utilize and expand your academic background in project controls and project management tools and methodologies
- Eager to learn new skills and develop knowledge to add make a valuable impact to project team operation
- Willing to engage with others to understand project team needs
Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree with a strong academic background, preferably with an emphasis in Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or General Engineering, or equivalent degree
- Enrollment in an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program preferred
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge in MS Office tools, with emphasis on MS Excel in creating and maintaining detailed, interactive spreadsheets, workbooks, and databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to interact and multitask with project team members, clients, and vendors of varying position levels.
Valued but not required skills and experience:
- Prior related internship, co-op, or work experience, which includes project controls, project planning, project scheduling, and earned value performance
- Familiarity with scheduling software, preferably Primavera P6
- Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community
