Overview

Lakeshore Family Dentistry is looking for a Dental Assistant in Glendale, Wisconsin to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.

Position Overview:As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment.   • Full time: Tuesdays 7am-7pm, Wednesdays 2pm-7pm, Thursdays 7am-7pm, Fridays 7am-3pm, and the 1st & 4th Saturdays of each month from 8am-3pm

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
  • Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
  • Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
  • 1 year on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
  • X-Ray certification
  • Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
