Position Summary:
Works under the general supervision of the Manager of Materials Distribution to provide supply distribution services to assigned customers. Uses the Materials Management Information System to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs all duties necessary to ensure that the supply needs of the hospital are met in a timely and high quality manner.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for counting and replenishing par level supply carts using the handheld computers and the MMIS.
- Responsible for entering stock issues and direct patient charges into the MMIS.
- Provides stock labeling assistance as directed.
- Responsible for restocking the operating rooms and delivering case supplies to the O/R
- Delivers orders and shipments to end user departments as assigned.
- Reconciles patient charges and issues using the MMIS.
- Required to aid in the cycle count and physical inventory processes as directed.
- Performs equipment-tracking functions using equipment management software.
- Responsible for counting and replenishing stock on code carts and isolation carts.
- Provides training and education to peer staff on topics such as par management, use of handheld technologies, and patient charging.
- Responsible for professional communications with customers and support personnel via telephone or in person.
- Replenishes surgical case carts as assigned.
- Cleans and decontaminates patient rental equipment according to policy guidelines.
- Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.
