Dental Associates of Hollywood is hiring a full time experienced Dental assistant. Applicants must be friendly, highly-organized, possess excellent communication skills and a genuine ability to deliver exceptional customer service. Candidates must be x-ray certified in FL. We request that all applicants also possess the willingness to learn, be compassionate and comfortable chair side, and have the ability to perform the following tasks :
-Knowledgeable on procedures
-Familiar with products and materials used-Attention to detail-Excellent Documentation-Taking impressions
- Making temporaries-Administering Fluoride-Disinfecting Rooms and Equipment
The hours for this position will be Mon-Fri 8:00-5:00

Responsibilities
- Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
- Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
- Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
or
- 2+ yeas of on-the-job-dental assisting experience (with supporting documentation)
- X-Ray certification
- Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
- High school diploma or equivalent
Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
