This position directly enhances rural healthcare by expanding patient access at Legacy Health's Molalla clinic. Nurse Practitioners handle routine follow-ups and urgent care, reducing wait times and supporting primary care providers, which is crucial in underserved areas like Molalla, Oregon.
Outpatient NP roles in rural areas like Molalla often emphasize adaptability and broader clinical skills due to fewer specialists onsite, typically requiring at least two years’ experience with prescriptive authority, reflecting the need for greater autonomy compared to urban outpatient settings.
Applicants must hold a current Oregon NP license with prescriptive privileges and maintain BLS certification from the American Heart Association. These credentials ensure compliance with state regulations and readiness to address urgent outpatient care needs in special location clinics.
Molalla's rural setting creates a high demand for outpatient nursing professionals, with less competition than metropolitan areas. This scarcity enhances opportunities for Nurse Practitioners seeking impactful roles with Legacy Health, including eligibility for special location stipends and loan repayment programs.
Salaries range from approximately $117,000 to $167,000 annually, depending on full-time equivalent status and experience. This competitive pay reflects the position's specialized rural healthcare focus and includes additional benefits and stipends unique to special location clinics.
