Job Summary and Responsibilities
A CommonSpirit Health Traveler RN is a direct clinical patient care registered nurse (RN) who provides independent patient care within their scope of practice. The nurse is highly skilled in patient care; actively enhancing core nursing skills and developing advanced nursing knowledge skills abilities and behaviors through education and involvement in nursing activities beyond basic job requirements and responsibilities.

- Minimum 2 years of experience as registered nurse in specialty area(s) (e.g., medical/surgical, telemetry, intensive care, emergency department, operating room, post-anesthesia recovery, pediatrics, maternal-child health)
- ADN or Nursing Diploma
- Current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse from the state(s) in which he or she will be practicing and/or compact state license
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) - Provided by American Heart Association (AHA)
- additional credentials may be required based on specialty and area(s) of assignment as specified by the requesting facility, state license and other regulatory requirements for local, state and federal agencies.
- Certification in specialty preferred; certifications and competencies to support care area and patient population served.
