Familiarity with state-specific practice acts and compliance with local healthcare regulations ensures smooth clinical operations and eligibility for positions in Las Vegas' skilled nursing facilities.

Additionally, some underestimate the leadership responsibilities OTs have, such as supervising assistants and managing clinical documentation, which are vital to the role.
Assistants and technicians support treatment implementation under OT supervision but cannot independently evaluate or design care plans. Registered Occupational Therapists hold the full clinical responsibility, including patient assessment, plan development, and regulatory compliance.
