How you make a difference
The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting facility-wide compliance and performance improvement activities to ensure that contract, accreditation, and regulatory standards are met. They conduct inspections and audits to monitor compliance and assist departments with data collection, tracking, and trending to monitor the performance of processes and systems. Additionally, the Compliance Coordinator implements appropriate improvement actions to achieve best practice patient care and safety outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Tracks compliance indicators using spreadsheets and prepares for internal and external audits.
- Supports other departments in identifying performance indicators and monitoring their reports to track trends.
- Provides training to staff and partners on performance improvement methods, tools, and root cause analysis.
- Reviews and investigates facility events, tracks incident reports, and summarizes data for leadership analysis.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- A Bachelor’s degree required in human services, health care field, management, or related field is preferred.
- A Certified Correctional Health Professional certification, or equivalent, is preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a compliance, quality assurance, or contract management related position is preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, correctional, security, forensic facility or secure setting is required.
- Demonstrated experience in performing tasks related to monitoring compliance, designing and improving processes, data collection, analysis, and reporting; systems analysis, and other tasks requiring general management and leadership skills may be substituted on a year for year basis for experience in a direct quality assurance, compliance, or contract management position.
- Experience working with accreditation or regulatory standards highly desirable.
- Experience with Six Sigma or LEAN process improvement methodologies desirable.
- Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, required.
- Experience with data analysis software desirable.
Licenses/Certifications
- CPHQ, Six Sigma, or other quality or compliance professional certification desirable.
