- This position will offer you the opportunity to work in a project team environment with other engineers and designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing oil and gas facility electrical systems.This position will also offer the opportunity to support the design of power plants and other industrial facilities.
- As a Senior Level Electrical Engineer, you will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of electrical engineering issues.
- Assist project lead in efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
- Support the project lead in coordinating systems design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
- Prepare and review detailed calculations, including three phase power transient studies, voltage drop, and protective relay settings.
- Prepare documentation for design input for drawing production.
- Interface with vendors to prepare materials and equipment purchase specifications for client recommendations.
- Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and S&L formats.
- Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawing preparation.
- Provide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced engineers.
This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.

Essential skills and experience:
- A BSEE degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required; MSEE preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in power plant or industrial plant design, with a focus on integrated, detailed system design for new facilities, or modifications or replacements for existing facilities specific for Oil and Gas.
- Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, control philosophy, and the preparation and assembling of calculations and specifications.
- Experience with electrical system design including medium and low voltage distribution systems (transformers, generators, motors), communication systems, equipment selection, and analytical calculations.
- Technically knowledgeable of available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems to execute systems design.
- Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role.
- Experience in reviewing other engineers design calculations and drawings.
Valued but not required skills and experience:
- PE license preferred
