Overview
Boyton Beach Oral Surgery is looking for a Surgical Dental Assistant to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. Candidates must be EFDA & X-ray certified in FL with hands on surgical dental assisting experience (with IV sedation) to be considered.
Hours: Mon- Fri 7:45a - 4:30p

Responsibilities
- Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
- Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
- Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
or
- Six months on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
- X-Ray certification & EFDA license in FL
- Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Surgical assisting with IV sedation experience
Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
