Job Summary:
Join our team as a Medical Lab Scientist! This position accurately analyzes and reports all tests ordered by the Medical Staff in a timely manner and according to laboratory procedures and regulatory guidelines to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA.
Certification Preferred:
- MLS (ASCP) or equivalent (Per requirement sheet)
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training:
- Must be appropriately trained in clinical laboratory science as evaluated by the Director of the Clinical Laboratory
Physical, Exertion, and Sensory - Medium
Schedule: This is a PRN 'as needed' position working 5 shifts within a 6-week time period. You may be asked to help cover evening, night and weekend shifts. You may also be asked to cover 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday. The initial training period would be full time hours for the first few weeks.
