Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will join an established team of RTs who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. You'll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support.
Every day you will apply your keen assessment skills and critical thinking to manage diverse patient needs, develop and execute effective care plans, and ensure calm, focused intervention in both routine and emergent situations.

- CLINICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Reviews and evaluates existing data in patient’s record. Collects any additional pertinent clinical information through physical examination and bedside parameters.
- Performs and evaluates peak flows/Spirometry before and after bronchodilators according to policy and orders.
- Completes thorough assessment of patients.
- Communicates all critical information to physicians, nurses, and others on an inter-disciplinary patient care team.
- Proactive in initiating Ventilator Discontinuation. Follows all policies on documentation, ET tube care, and other Ventilator Bundle guidelines.
Required
- Associates Other Respiratory Therapy and Successful completion of the NBRC examination for Registered Respiratory Therapist., upon hire and
- Respiratory Care Practitioner: AR, upon hire and
- Registered Respiratory Therapist, within 90 Days and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 30 Days
Preferred
- Bachelors Other Respiratory Therapy, upon hire
