Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Paramedic Tech at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Group, you will help our patients in emergency situations by providing immediate medical attention and support to stabilize their condition so they can receive proper medical care. Every day, you will be responsible for assessing patients' medical needs, administering medications, performing diagnostic tests, and providing emergency medical care. You will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment, respond quickly to emergencies, and collaborate with other medical professionals to deliver the best possible care to our patients. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations. You should have a good understanding of medical equipment and procedures, and a drive to continually improve your skills and knowledge.Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides direct patient care under oversight of EMS medical director or designee.
- Obtains specimens including non-invasive body fluids and blood specimens. Performs EKGs and blood glucose monitoring.
- Monitors and performs actions to decrease patient length of stay including but not limited to: performing timely designated discharge duties and communicating discharge information to appropriate staff.
- Assists Physician/Nurse with diagnostic tests clinical procedures and other tasks as requested.
- Communicates patient needs and observed/reported changes in patient condition to supervising Nurse or Physician.
Scheduled shifts and training will be at East and West Campus.

Required
High School Diploma/GED
Arizona Certified Emergency Paramedic
AHA BLS for Provider Certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) within six months of hire
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within six months of hire
Preferred
Direct patient care experience preferred
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider)
NREMT-P (National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Paramedic)
