What You'll Be Doing
The Plumber will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing related items within locations in the healthcare system.
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Complete all plumbing tasks in a timely and effective manner
- Assist in maintaining all scheduled routine checks and preventive maintenance on wet well(s) and lift stations
- Assist in preventative maintenance including daily checks, monthly flushing, snaking, jet cleaning, hydrant draining and testing, etc.
- Understand and read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste drainage systems
- Assist in installations, repairs, to meet the requirements of the appropriate codes and facilities’ building requirements
- Assist with other trade work when needed
- Perform snow removal detail
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 2-4 years in trade, hospital environment preferred
- Active and valid NJ driver's license
- Knowledge of the National Standard Plumbing Code
- The following NJ Licenses are highly desirable
- NJ Electrical contractor license
- NJ Plumbing license
- NJ Boiler License
- NJ Refrigeration License
- Willingness to travel to all CarePoint facilities in Bayonne, Hoboken, Jersey City, including associated Physician offices
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Understand and follow oral and written directions
- Excellent customer service skills
