Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for surgical, obstetric, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
- Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic assessments, including patient history, physical examination, and diagnostic data review.
- Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed during surgery.
- Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management.
- Option to participate in call rotation for emergency and urgent cases (additional pay for call coverage).
- Maintain accurate and complete anesthesia records in accordance with hospital policy and Pennsylvania state regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
- Current National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) certification.
- Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills.
