Additional credentials in discharge planning or critical care case management boost employability, considering the high demand for skilled professionals in Select Medical’s recovery-focused environment.
Pensacola shows moderate competition for RN Case Manager roles, especially in specialized hospitals like Select Medical. The demand is steady due to the area's aging population and critical care needs, but candidates with acute care and discharge planning experience have a distinct advantage.
Case Managers in this PRN capacity excel by blending clinical expertise with resource coordination, utilization review, and discharge planning. Unlike standard nursing positions, they must navigate insurance processes and interdisciplinary communication to streamline patient recovery pathways effectively.
LPN Case Managers often progress by gaining certifications in case management or social work, expanding their scope into RN roles or specialty case management. Experience in acute and critical care environments, like those at Select Medical, also opens pathways to leadership or specialized discharge planning positions.

They ensure efficient discharge processes and resource management, requiring a blend of clinical knowledge and administrative skills unique to case management roles.
