You’ll train with some of the most dedicated Service Technicians in the industry, learn what it takes to install propane tanks safely, and find out how to respond to service calls in a timely and efficient manner. After completion of the program, you’ll have the opportunity to advance into a Service Technician role. Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision, assist in installations, repairs, and maintains propane equipment for retail customers.
- Develops knowledge and trains on how to load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane to and from specified destinations.
- Assists in inspecting vehicles and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
- Under direct supervision, assists in preparing and maintaining records in accordance with regulations and company procedures. Operates truck in accordance to established safety procedures.
- Under direct supervision, during daily interaction with customers provides exceptional customer service by supplying service/safety information and answering inquires.
- Will be required to train with team members who are working on call rotation for after hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response as needed.
- Once qualified, may be required to drive a Bobtail truck base on business needs and/or “On Call” rotation
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Under direct supervision, may work on propane appliances when needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to obtain Commercial driver’s license (Class A or B) with hazmat and tanker endorsement if not currently obtained
- Good driving record
- Proficient in speaking, writing, and understanding the English language.
- Commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A or B license with hazmat and tanker endorsement preferred.
