Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Post Procedure Nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital & Medical Center, you will assess patient/family health problems and resources, take a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcome evaluation of a plan for nursing care. Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations. Position requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
- Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
- Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
- Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.
- Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices.

Job Requirements
Minimum:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- American Heart Association ACLS certification
Preferred:
- One year recent acute care experience
- One year PICC placement experience
