Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Clinic LPN at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston, you will help our patients by providing nursing care to our skilled nursing residents under the direction of the physician or registered nurse.
Every day you will work with our patients to evaluate their needs and provide physical or psychosocial care. To be successful in this role, you must have a genuine compassion for your patients’ well-being and understand the role you play in helping our our patients feel at ease. You also have the patience to explain the process, answer questions and update documentation.
- Assist RN and healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, special tests, and routine procedures
- Perform/record vital signs, CPR, apply oxygen delivering systems, perform simple wound irrigation/direct pressure/dressings, prepare sterile field for suturing, assist provider with treatment when appropriate, apply restraints, clean medical equipment and prepare for sterilization, collect urine specimens, and phlebotomy
- Provides patient and family education
- Assists with patient transports and transfers
- Answer telephones, filing, greet patients/visitors, and transcribe provider’s orders
- Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms

Job Requirements
Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited college or technical school for Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN), Required upon hire.
Licensure and Certifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse: North Dakota (LPN:ND), Required upon hire.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR), Required upon hire.
