Legacy Silverton Medical Center serves the heart of the Willamette Valley with a wide mix of services, many not typically available in a community hospital: CT scan (computerized tomography), nuclear medicine, echocardiography, family birth center and much more.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the department manager, is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department and employee performance. Exercises discretionary judgment in solving problems and working with employees. Uses working knowledge of applicable regulations, laws, techniques, procedures, and general principles and practices of specific support services area in which employee works.
Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience, required. Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, preferred
Experience: Three to five years of Housekeeping supervisory experience required. Three to five years of health care related preferred.
Skills:
- Ability to cope with the physical and mental demands of a dynamic environment.
- Ability to read, write and understand English.
- Knowledge of computers and appropriate software programs required.
- Working knowledge of applicable regulations, laws and techniques required.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks.
- Good interpersonal relations skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with others in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and collected in stressful situations.
- Comprehends and utilizes good body mechanics.
- Ability to plan, develop and teach training/in-service modules in an effective manner.
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner.
Licensure
Certification in appropriate field preferred
Pay Range
