Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Clinical Nutrition Manager position with Covenant Living of the Great Lakes in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  This premier Continuing Care Retirement Community is located in a 40-acre woodland, minutes from downtown Grand Rapids and close to parks, shopping, live music, and fine dining in the heart of Western Michigan.  

Start with 3 weeks' vacation and 3 personal days

Reimbursement for Academy dues, state licensure fees and CDR renewal

Money toward continuing education events

Up to $5000 tuition reimbursement annually

What You'll Do

  • provide nutrition care to assisted living and skilled nursing residents;
  • meet DOH/state/federal and company standards;
  • be an active member of interdisciplinary care conferences;
  • represent the Food & Nutrition Department as a liaison with the medical and nursing staff; and
  • support the food service operation as a valued member of the operational leadership team.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Minimum Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
