Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Emergency Services Nurse at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center, you will help patients who require urgent medical attention so they can receive appropriate and timely care.
Every day, your main task will be to assess patients, prioritize care, and provide treatment for a variety of medical emergencies. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and social workers, to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care possible.
To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a strong ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families

Use emergency triage protocol to intake discharge or admit patients.
Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the larger ER team adapting care to changes in patient’s condition as needed.
Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values beliefs and customs. Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patient's condition.
Engage in other activities that will benefit patient outcomes such as patient experience initiatives mentoring etc.
Scheduled shifts and training will be at East and West Campus.
Job Requirements
Required
Associate degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent
One year acute care RN experience
Valid compact state or Arizona RN license
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider
American Heart Association Advanced Pediatric Life Support
Trauma Nursing Core Course (except for ED Connect designated RNs within one year in the position
Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills by passing EKG test or successfully completing basic EKG class/modules within six months of position
Preferred
Bachelor degree in Nursing or foreign equivalent
Three years ED or Critical Care experience
