Sodexo’s growing Healthcare Technology Management Division is seeking solution-oriented candidates who excel at customer service with proven success as an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician II to support Healthcare Technology service for Sharp Memorial Hosptial located in San Diego, CA.
Candidate must possess a high level of technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to make decisions regarding repairs and service of customer equipment. Will also need excellent customer service/time management skill along with the capability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal manner with customers regarding services performed and with internal and external customers, vendors, and colleagues.

What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, maintain and calibrate a basic range of clinical equipment, devices, systems and instruments.
- Provide advanced support of equipment for direct patient care.
- Interact on a routine basis with clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems and solutions.
- Solve organization-level customer service issues and complaints.
- Prepare required documentation and reports and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Financial responsibility for purchasing parts and services and demonstrate a safety mindset.

What You Bring
- A minimum of 3 years of experience repairing, maintaining, and calibrating medical devices independently.
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- The ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices.
- Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills.
- Experience effectively repairing, maintaining and calibrating clinical devices such as: General Biomedical Devices- Nurse call, Natus, and Philips Patient Monitors, ESU’s, Vital sign machines, Defibrillators, AD’s, Telemetry, EKG, IV Infusion Pumps, plus OR, and Ventilators (not all are required). Specifically looking for experience with Surgery, NICU, Respiratory Therapy, Anesthesia, and GE patient monitoring.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting
