Job Description
The operating engineer will ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained hotel environment.
Responsibilities
• Maintain repairs to guestrooms and public space including but not limited to HVAC, kitchen, electrical and plumbing.• Performs preventive maintenance of guestrooms, following PM guidelines for CARE or PRP program.• Painting, grouting, caulking and tile replacement a plus.• Respond to guest and associate requests. • Receive direction for house calls via radio and work orders.• Complete assigned work order from internal and external departments.• Assist with equipment preventive maintenance programs• Assist engineers and mechanics with repairs.• Clean all work areas after completing a job.• Assist and maintain a clean shop and storage areas.• Maintain general maintenance inventories.• Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies upon training.• Perform daily shift engineer checklist.• Reasonable requests of management as directed.• Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations upon training.• Knowledge & use of the Lockout/Tagout, HAZCOM and Blood borne Pathogen Programs upon training.
Qualifications
- Prior building maintenance experience required for level 2 positions and HVAC experience preferred for level 1 positions
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to work weekend and holiday shifts. Schedule will vary according to business and operational needs.
