Position Summary
Guest Services staff are the primary contact with the guests at the facility. Employees are required to have knowledge of the building and its services, and also to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for the guests. Employees will fill ticket taker, usher, guest services, and greeter positions.
This role will pay an hourly rate between $14.00

About the Venue
Addition Financial Arena Is a multi-purpose entertainment arena located at the University of Central Florida Campus. The arena features up to 10,000 seats and hosts a wide variety of events ranging from nationally renowned artists, family shows, college and professional sporting events, trade shows and conventions. The Arena is home to the University of Central Florida Knights Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Women’s Volleyball and the Pro Volleyball Federation’s Orlando Valkyries.
Responsibilities
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Be familiar with ticketing, seating locations, procedures and building policies
- Able to handle large groups of guests
- Maintain control of your assigned sections or area
- Anticipate and correct any trouble situations in your area
- Know general building information and locations of various amenities
- Ensure areas are safe for patrons and staff
- Monitor alcohol consumption and related issues
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons
- Occasionally assist with breakdown after events
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be available for at least ½ of all events occurring within each month, year round
- Experience in customer service
- Ability to manage high stress situations and remain flexible
- Able to be on feet for long periods of time
- Able to work a variety of events including children’s shows, theatre performances, and loud concerts
- Must have a pleasant and outgoing personality
- Must be friendly, courteous and polite with a positive attitude
- Must be able to adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Previous experience as an usher or ticket taker are a plus.
- High School Diploma (or GED) preferred
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- First aid or CPR trained
- Ability to work holidays (ie. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Years, Easter, etc.)
