Overview
Dental Specialty Center of Brandon is looking for a Surgical/Medical Dental Assistant to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. This position will require traveling to our Dental Associates of FL - Lutz location on Tuesdays (Travel reimbursement included) Candidates are preferred to have surgical assisting experience (medical/and or dental) field
Hours: Tues- Fri 8:00-5:00

Responsibilities
- Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
- Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
- Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
or
- Six months on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
- X-Ray certification
- Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
- High school diploma or equivalent
Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
