Designer
What could be more exciting than putting your mark on some of the world’s most famous and well-loved fashion brands? As a designer for Centric Brands, you’ll use your skills and creativity to create designs based on style plans, sales needs and emerging trends. You will also ensure that your work can be transformed into a finished product in a timely manner and at an appropriate price point. This means working not only with our technical design and production teams, but also building collaborative relationships with outside vendors and other external stakeholders. Specific Responsibilities Would Include
The Associate, Technical Designer supports the seasonal design and merchandising process by providing strong technical design support for in-category styles to ensure on-budget, on-time delivery of quality goods and will support the design team through a thorough physical inspection of all goods designed working with one of our top brands like IZOD focusing on Menswear design.
- Work closely with Design to create accurate initial specs and determine proper fit and construction.
- Conduct fit sessions, making recommendations for fit and construction issues.
- Collect and advise fit sample comments to vendors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners on style and fit approval process to meet all deadlines. Address issues for resolution with technical designers and fashion designers.
- Own communication of development and fit information to overseas vendors through written reports, sketches and/or pattern corrections.
- Make recommendations on how to organize and prioritize workload to meet all deadlines.
- Adhere to established fit, construction, and safety standards by producing accurate specification packages including sketch details, base size specifications, grading, and construction
Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have
- Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills; team oriented; highly detail oriented and meticulous
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, balance creativity with technical capability, and interpret design sketches for tech packs
- 2 - 4 years experience in technical design of apparel in knits and sweaters
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, PLM Adobe products, computers

Salary Range: $53,600 - $67,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
