The hotel features 330 guest rooms, four dining outlets, a spacious pool deck, retail, and almost 36,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space along with expansive views of the ASU campus and the Tempe cityscape. Job Description

Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is seeking a versatile and service-minded Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple outlets, including our restaurants and pool bar, providing warm, attentive service in a variety of settings. The ideal candidate is adaptable, personable, and confident working independently across different environments and shifts.

Weekend availability is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of craft cocktails, beverages, and menu items with precision and creativity, adhering to the Omni Tempe Hotel’s high standards of quality.
  • Engage with guests to provide a memorable experience, offering recommendations and personalizing interactions to meet guest preferences.
  • Ensure the bar and serving areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked, maintaining a safe and inviting environment for guests.
  • Handle cash and payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor and manage bar inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal liquor laws.
  • Work flexibly across bartending and serving roles, ensuring seamless service.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a bartender and server, ideally in a high-volume hotel or resort setting.
  • Exceptional knowledge of mixology, including craft cocktail preparation and presentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for engaging with a diverse range of guests.
  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • Current food handler’s card and alcohol service certification as per local, state, or federal regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality or related field is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, place, and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs.

*This position is a part-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
