Overview
We are seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician I, also referred to as our Maintenance Worker or Maintenance Specialist. A Hospital Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining and repairing non-medical equipment like HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and facility structures to ensure the hospital operates safely and efficiently. They perform routine inspections, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliance with safety codes to support patient care and hospital operations. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Perform General and Preventive Maintenance: Handle routine tasks like replacing light bulbs, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems
- Support Senior Technicians and Operations: Assist higher-level technicians with complex repairs, help move equipment or furniture, and provide support during facility emergencies such as floods or power outages
- Ensure Safety and Compliance: Follow hospital safety protocols, infection control measures, and building codes while reporting any unsafe conditions to supervisors
- Manage Tools and Work Areas: Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and help keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and well-stocked
