Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team.
Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site.
Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others, work efficiently, and your empathy for our patients.
- Serves as a float pool resource to various clinics within designated, local region.
- Performs routine patient care responsibilities such as taking vital signs, venipuncture (blood draws), collect specimens, EKGs/ECGs, and POCTs.
- Collects patient history, performs medication reconciliation and enters information in the electronic medical record.
- Notes the primary complaint/reason for patient’s visit.
- Sets up instruments and equipment for medical provider (MD, DO, PA NP).
- Assist with procedures as needed.
Required
- High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or
- High School GED General Studies, upon hire and
- Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid Medication Aide certification by state agency required if applicable., upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
Preferred
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred, upon hire and
- 0 or greater than 1 year of experience preferred., upon hire
