Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking a Food Services Manager for Newport Hospital, a 106-bed facility and part of the Brown University Health system. You will be part of the leadership team overseeing a team of approximately 8 hospital employees serving patient meals and supporting cafeteria retail. The schedule for this role will be 10:30 am - 7:00 pm, including rotational weekend coverage every other weekend.

What You'll Do
- manage all daily food operations through hourly and supervisory frontline associates
- maintain food and health & safety logs within Sodexo and hospital guidelines and requirements
- ensure trainings remain up to date for all hourly associates, for both Sodexo and hospital related trainings
- effectively mentor and develop the food services team
- implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail, catering and patient services
- cultivate effective interpersonal relationships with patients, customers, and clients in hospital

What You Bring
- strong production culinary background, ideally in an up-scale restaurant/retail/catering environment;
- experience leading and engaging a culinary and/or food services team
- Servsafe certified as well as working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health and Safety audits
- familiarity with Sodexo processes and systems (preferred, not required)
