Overview
The primary purpose of the Senior Maintenance Technician position is to perform general repairs, preventive maintenance and installs of facility equipment.
Responsibilities
Oversee, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair facility equipment ensuring a safe and productive work environment;
Disassemble mechanical equipment, repair or replace worn or broken parts, and adjust parts of mechanical devices
as needed. Inspect completed repairs;
Plan, prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work in alignment with organizational goals;
Develop, implement and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life;
Maintain continuous improvement initiatives in equipment reliability, maintenance processes, and shop organization;
Manage procurement of parts and supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely availability;
Ability to work after hours and weekends as required;
Responsible for moving equipment and office furniture;
Support facility operations and special projects, including seasonal request;
Represent the Facilities function professionally in cross functional meetings, collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards, fostering a culture of accountability and hazard prevention;
Maintain regular and punctual attendance;
Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations; and
May be required to assist with special projects, facility support, or other tasks outside of regular maintenance duties as business needs dictate.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required;Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance preferred;Basic computer entry/retrieval skills required;HVAC certificate or licensed electrician preferred;
Experience using a CMMS to handle work orders and PM checklist preferred;
Ability to read and interpret machine manuals/schematics, electrical blueprints/schematics and process control diagrams;Experience troubleshooting of PLC and other control systems in an industrial environment; andExperience working independently and with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to walk, bend, turn and lift/push/pull up to 80 pounds on a consistent basis;Capable of standing on feet for a minimum of 6 hours per day, kneeling and climbing 10' ladders;
Print legibly on all paperwork; and
Personal protective equipment may be required.
