Job Summary and Responsibilities
We're looking for a dedicated and thorough EVS Tech to help us maintain a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our healthcare facility, directly contributing to the well-being of everyone we serve.
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and other areas according to established protocols.
- Follow strict cleaning and disinfection procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
- Collect and dispose of waste, including biohazardous materials and linens, following proper procedures.
- Replenish supplies in patient rooms and common areas.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests from healthcare staff.
- Operate cleaning equipment, including heavy-duty machinery and specialized tools.
- Housekeeping experience required, utilizing basic housekeeping practices, and procedures, proper handling/disposal of infectious waste, and proper safety skills in handling of housekeeping chemicals
- Acute healthcare work experience involving the use of heavy equipment such as buffers extractors wide area vacuums and wet vacuums
This position is represented by SEIU UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
