Frequently asked questions
Lynwood's healthcare sector shows steady demand for LVNs skilled in telemetry, partly due to the presence of comprehensive facilities like St. Francis Medical Center. Competition exists but is balanced by ongoing community healthcare needs, making it a promising area for LVNs seeking telemetry-focused nursing roles.
Employers in Lynwood often prioritize LVNs who hold valid state licenses, current BLS certification, and IV certification, especially for telemetry care. Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and telemetry equipment enhances employability in this region’s hospitals and skilled nursing facilities.
Day shift telemetry LVNs typically engage in more patient assessments, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and manage diagnostic tests. This shift demands heightened vigilance in monitoring cardiac rhythms, ensuring patient safety, and facilitating communication which can differ from night shift focus on maintenance.
Proficiency in cardiac telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, and patient assessment are essential. An LVN must demonstrate clinical competence in identifying arrhythmias, collaborating with RNs, and maintaining patient comfort. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are critical in telemetry nursing.
Prime Healthcare Services encourages continuous development through tuition reimbursement and access to education programs. LVNs in telemetry benefit from hands-on experience within an award-winning team and opportunities to expand their skill set in a comprehensive stroke and trauma center environment.

The salary for Licensed Vocational Nurses specializing in telemetry at Prime Healthcare Services ranges from approximately $28.00 to $37.68 per hour. The exact offer depends on experience, certification, and skill level, reflecting competitive compensation in the Lynwood healthcare market.
LVN telemetry positions require specialized skills in cardiac monitoring and patient rhythm assessment, setting them apart from general LVN roles. These nurses must be adept at interpreting telemetry data and responding swiftly to cardiac events while providing comprehensive patient care.
Telemetry LVNs constantly monitor cardiac signals to detect abnormalities timely, administer IV medications, and collaborate with RNs to adjust care plans. Their role is pivotal in preventing complications, ensuring patient comfort, and enhancing recovery outcomes in cardiovascular care settings.
While telemetry LVNs primarily work in-person monitoring cardiac patients, telehealth nursing experience can be advantageous. Familiarity with remote patient monitoring and digital health tools complements their skill set, especially as healthcare integrates more telemedicine technologies.
