Job Summary
We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Specialty Technician to join our Neurology team supporting Dr. Surathi. This position plays a vital role in coordinating patient care, organizing specialty procedures, and ensuring smooth day-to-day clinic operations.
The Specialty Tech will follow the provider and her specialty, assisting in both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure that all visits and specialty procedures are properly scheduled, supported, and documented.
Responsibilities
· Check patients in and out for visits at 1550 University Avenue.
· Coordinate and schedule a variety of neurologic specialty procedures, including:
o VNGs (Videonystagmography)
o EMGs (Electromyography)
o Wireless EEGs
o GUIDE Program Visits
o Other neurology specialty procedures as needed.
· Build and manage daily schedules/referrals for Dr. Surathi to ensure efficiency and goal attainment.
· Work closely with other diagnostic techs (EEG, EMG, VNG) to align patient and provider schedules.
· Prepare exam rooms and assist with provider visits.
· Maintain accurate records and documentation within the EHR system.
· Provide excellent communication and service to patients, providers, and staff.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Experience: Minimum 2 years of prior clinical or medical office experience required; neurology or specialty care experience preferred.
· Skills:
o Strong organizational and multitasking ability.
o Excellent communication and teamwork.
o Familiarity with medical terminology and neurology procedures preferred.
o Comfortable with EHR systems and scheduling software.
o Professional, dependable, and patient-focused.
