Responsibilities
The Finance/Data Intern acquires and analyzes data along with assisting members of the Business Analysis team with various ongoing projects. Communicates with Finance team and managers. Participates in decision-making process by identifying issues and recommending solutions.
The internship is for the semester with opportunity to extend based on company need and job performance.
15-20 hours per week
- Performs basic financial and business analysis functions.
- Provides support to all functions within Finance.
- Learns/observes the business interaction with other Departments
- Performs other relevant duties as assigned
- Becomes proficient in working with large data files using the appropriate software
Qualifications
- No related work experience required.
- Requires basic knowledge of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel and E-mail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Can work autonomously as well as with a team.
- Knowledge of insurance, business, finance is preferred.
Education Requirement
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Finance, Risk Management and Insurance (or other applicable major) preferred.
- A rising Junior is preferred.
- GPA of 3.0 and above required.
